OLD-TIME LOOK

Nothing much to say on my Old-time Look, except that I still wore my braces on and how much I adore my Alice In Wonderland earrings. Oh, and one more thing, my family bag made from Batik Lawas Sidoarjo (an ancient Indonesian traditional cloth from Sidoarjo - East Java) combine with Red Python snake leather. Enchanted..

MOUNTAIN DAWN

I always try to buy my time to accompany my old man when he wants to fulfil his hobbies. One of his hobby that fits me is Offroad 4 x 4 Pilotos. Pilotos is a group name for numbers of pilots from different airlines in Indonesia with the same interest, Offroad in this matter.

We even doing it the whole crew Mr.Arief (papa), Ms.Tienke Arief (mama), ArthaDayu (my man), Amanda Arief Dayu (me), Arissa Arief (sister), and Bayu (my sister's man).

The advantage of doing this kind of hobby other than the excitement is that you don't have to pay more to get great views.

Our last trip  Offroad-ing was to Sentul - Bogor. We stayed at some local house after a hard-long-wet journey to reach that place. Our car was full of dirt and mud. But I'm glad that we finally made it to the top. My papa and his team served a very delicious barbecue dinner (best dinner for a starving lady ;p). I slept early without TV nor electricity, so was my husband. Only my papa who was still awake and chatted with his friends. When the morning came, my husband woke me up and take me out to feel the fresh air. I'm freezing but then I realized, that this is the moment when we could enjoy pollution-free air.

b-side wakai

Another Sunday evening at CITOS Jakarta. I'm feeling like I need to have my dessert time while waiting for my husband back from work. So, I'm taking my mom and sister in fulfilling my culinary passion.

Today's Menu

• Ninja Crepes "Banana Nutella" (my favourite ****) - Black crepes with Nutella, whipped cream, banana sliced, sliced almond served with chocolate sauce and strawberry. Fatty but not too sweet, definitely fit my appetite when craving for healthy dessert.
• Baked Mochi Nutella - There are 5 flavours : Vanilla, Red Bean, Peanut Butter, Nutella, and Green Tea. Been tried them all but I like Nutella most.
• Amagi Mushroom - Deep fried filled shitake, salmon served with spicy mayo. Just an ordinary fried mushroom, the salmon really made my day. 

And from Beverages area, we only order Ice Lychee Tea (as always..) and mineral water. Thus won't ruined my tongue sensitivity. 

What I think of this place is that it's always a pleasure for me to have one stop entertainment center where I can shop and dine at once. Recommended for you to try !

THE FITTING ROOM

Inspiration can come anywhere and everywhere.. sometimes in the shower, during office time, in my mall-ing time, when I eat my meal or maybe when I'm doing laundry. I had one of mine today inside an ordinary fitting room at my favourite mall.

While looking my self at the mirror, I saw the perfect blocking combination between plain red and creamy brown match with my "Tiga Negeri Batik" envelope clutch. So in love..

OUR EVENING DJOURNAL

It's been a while since me and my husband last visit to Cilandak Town Square (CITOS). And I wondering where did Regal Cafe go ?! Since when it became Djournal Coffee ?! hahaahaa

I really need to go out and spend my time a little bit further than Pondok Indah area sometimes I supposed.

Well, CITOS was one of our favourite meeting point back in the days when we were still dating. But for now, we prefer to avoid unfriendly traffic in Jakarta and stay at home all day.

There are two new coffee shops at CITOS that I'm concern. Liberica and Djournal Coffee. As our evening leisure for today, we decided to try Djournal Coffee. Not because it looks more tempting to go in to (it has a unique and cozy atmosphere yet vintage full of wooden craft) but also friendly staff, good lighting (not too dark to chat with your colleagues), and one thing for sure affordable prices. Owh, and I forgot to mention, I always believe that Ismaya Group will give you total pleasure on each of their products.

Today's Menu

From the Beverages kitchen we have :

• Nutella Blast -> Hazelnuts ice blended flavour (one of my favourite ***)
• Liquid Choco Cake -> taste like a blended of whole chocolate tart cake (a glass would be best, too much for more than one) 
• Hot Cappuccino -> standard (Daily Bread Cafe still the best)  
• Ice Latte -> recommended (best with extra caramel syrup.. try it !)

From the Food section we have :

The Hazel - Nutcracker and Mama Baba as our side dishes, two yummy cakes from Colette & Lola (no need to be questioned about, I adore their products.. Love them !).

However, sadly I must confessed that I do like Djournal Coffee a lot more than Regal Cafe. In every way..

NY by Novita Yunus for JFW 2014

One of my all time favourite designer in Jakarta Fashion Week (JFW) is Novita Yunus. The owner of Batik Chic and just launched her premium brand named after her own initial "NY by Novita Yunus". A quick snap about her profile..

Novita Yunus, Founder and Creative Director of NY, a new brand from Batik Chic collections. She has won 2012 UNESCO Award of Excellence in Handicrafts among other 80 handicrafts. Her love for Wastra Indonesia ingrained since childhood, experienced of helping her mother collecting Batik in Solo and Jogjakarta. After 13 years having career in Banking industry, she decided to become an entrepreneur based on her passion. And become a pioneer of Batik Bag designer by using Wastra as her core material. She wants to change the public perception of the ancient and conventional Wastra into something wearable, creative, modern, chic and luxury. Her love for Wastra also deepening her idea of safeguarding Indonesia heritage and become her motivation to spreading her passion, persuade younger generation to keep the Indonesian Wastra heritage alive through her creative design.
Batik Chic collections has been currated and displayed at Hong Kong Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2011 & July 2012. Jakarta Fashion Week 2010 & 2011. Anne Avantie fashion show on Indonesia Fashion Week 2012. And also Tokyo & Taipei International Gift Show. Batik Chic in 2013, chosen among 13 Selected Emerging Potential Designers for FASHION FORWARD - a JFW program, the most influential fashion event in SouthEast Asia. Also currated and selected in Tokyo Gift Show 2013 from 300 participants and won Japan Center for ASEAN Show Case & Business Matching as well as currated for Instore Promotion in MitsuKotsi Tokyo this fall (September).

Love her collection as always, especially those dresses me and my sister just ordered ~wink~, those adorable wedges, and killer bags. LOVE it !
